- I agree with you. On the other hand, I would very much like to see an Amiga
- version of Java. I know there's a port underway, but I don't know how far
- it is. I see Java as more than just a language that can be used to make
- HTML pages more interactive. It can be a general purpose language, with the
- great advantage that it is platform independent.

- With the development of Java-on-a-chip like solutions, the speed of the
- whole system will increase considerably too (speed is a problem at the
- moment).

- It's very interesting to see how much money Sun is spending on Java. I've
- been to a seminar organized by Sun this week. They had all kinds of
- speakers that use Java and are developing new, interesting applications
- with it. This whole day was free and you were handed all kinds of goodies.

- The battle for the net is underway, with Netscape and Microsoft giving away
- their browsers for free too. It will be very interesting to see who comes
- out on top.
